Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete the data Posty holds about you at any time. This page explains what is deleted and how, including for Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts connected through Meta.

What data Posty stores

  • Account data: your email, your name and picture if you gave them, language and time zone. Your password (hashed) or the link to your Google account is held by Firebase Authentication, Google’s sign-in service.
  • Brands and content: brand profiles, posts, drafts, monthly plans, comments, client reviews, uploaded media and short links.
  • Connected account data: the access token (encrypted), and the Page or account ID, name, username and profile picture; results of posts published through Posty.
  • Billing records: payment references, plan, amount and status, and for transfers the sender name or number you typed (no card numbers).

Option 1 — Disconnect one Facebook Page or Instagram account

  1. Sign in to Posty and open Channels.
  2. Open the menu on the account and choose Delete.
  3. Posty immediately deletes the stored access token and the account’s details, and stops publishing to it. Posts scheduled for that account are deleted too.

Option 2 — Delete your workspace or account

  1. Sign in and go to Settings → Workspace (owners only) and choose Delete workspace. Its brands, accounts, tokens, posts, plans and media are deleted.
  2. To remove your user account as well, go to Settings → Profile → Delete account and confirm with your password or Google. Your Firebase sign-in and the workspaces you own are deleted with it.

Deletion takes effect immediately in the app; copies in backups are removed within 30 days.

Option 3 — Remove Posty from Facebook

On Facebook go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), find Posty and choose Remove. Posty immediately loses access to your Pages and Instagram accounts. The accounts then show as needing reconnection in Posty; delete them there (Option 1), or email us (Option 4), to remove the remaining details.

Option 4 — Ask us by email

Email posty@appzlr.com from the address registered on your Posty account, with the subject “Data deletion request”. If it’s about a Facebook Page or Instagram account rather than your Posty sign-in, include the Page or account name.

We will confirm your request, delete the data within 30 days, and email you when it’s done.

What we may keep

We keep payment records for the period required by tax and accounting law, and the minimum needed to show the deletion took place. They are not used for anything else.

Your right to deletion is protected by Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and other data protection laws. You can also ask us for a copy of your data before deleting it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
